Steve Carver is a serial social entrepreneur, Founder & Chairman of the WinWin Group, a co-founder of Bish Bash Bosh and Co, Teamship and WinWin Earth. Steve was instrumental in helping CIDA Campus become a sustainable enterprise. Before starting Eden Campus, the first innovative self-funding School-Business Model in Africa which taught hands-on entrepreneurship. Drawing from this model Steve assisted in the establishment of Teach a Man to Fish Foundation which has created more than 300,000 student entrepreneurs, and in excess of 2,600 profit-making school businesses in countries all over the world. Steve has been instrumental in establishing the Earn as Your Grow App which has empowered 6900 subsistence women farmers in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi and Mozambique to grow chilies for export. As well as launching the Freedom Project™ that empowers communities to identify, track and improve on key poverty indicators.
Mary-Ann Parr is a chartered accountant with a unique mix of both corporate and entrepreneurial experience in both transaction initiation and operational management. Ms Parr has 23 years of business experience ranging from managing the finance team for a R300 billion (+US$20B) employee benefits business, project managing the finance and risk restructuring of said business, planning and implementation of HR remuneration strategies for asset management businesses including private equity and hedge funds and co-managed the establishment of a multi-million Rand food security program: FoodBank South Africa. Ms Parr was the youngest executive in Old Mutual Asset Management, where she held a position for 5 years. More recently, she has spent six years involved in agriculture and agro-processing growing programs that started as consulting for mining houses with agricultural land holdings and has migrated to contract farming. This experience has resulted in an extensive network of funders, processing partners and growing programs each looking for a party to facilitate building and optimising the bridge between investors and agricultural deal flow.
